A new bike for the whole grid

Same bike for everyone – so the rider makes the difference.

WorldWCR started at Misano in June 2024. Every woman on the grid races an identical bike, so results come down to the rider rather than the budget. The series runs as part of the World Superbike weekend, alongside the Superbike, Supersport and Sportbike classes. Ana Carrasco won the first title in 2024, and Maria Herrera took the 2025 crown.

Yamaha’s R7 has been the series bike since the start, with technical support from the JiR team. That partnership ends after the 2026 season. CFMOTO takes over on an exclusive deal covering 2027 to 2029, agreed with the FIM and Dorna WSBK Organization (DWO).

The bike reached the podium in its first season in the British championship. CFMOTO says that made it the first Chinese-built production motorcycle on a podium at a British Superbike (BSB) event. The final race specification for WorldWCR hasn’t been released yet.

CFMOTO’s grand prix partner, the Aspar team, helped develop the bike, with Aspar riders and engineers taking part in testing. For 2027, CFMOTO will prepare the race bikes, supply parts and provide technical support at the track.

The local angle: having its sportbike on the world stage at every WorldSBK round can only help CFMOTO in NZ showrooms – and may make Kiwi riders take a closer look at its road-going sportbikes.
