Kawasaki has revealed a new Versys 900. Bike Rider Magazine reports that both the standard model and the Versys 900 SE are expected in New Zealand by mid-2027.
Key details
- Engine: 948cc inline four, related to Kawasaki’s Z supernaked engines.
- Output: 122PS (89.6 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 97.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
- Chassis: new trellis frame with 17-inch wheels.
- Tech: five-inch colour TFT with Rideology app connectivity, a quickshifter, and Kawasaki’s first rider-assistance systems on a Versys: a lighter adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and blind-spot detection.
- Luggage: the accessory system offers 111 litres of storage.
Where it sits
The 900 slots below the Versys 1100 in Kawasaki’s sport-touring line-up. It’s aimed at riders who want long-distance comfort and touring tech without stepping up to a litre-class bike.
