CFMOTO V4SR-RR revealed: a 997cc V4 superbike with more than 210 hp and active winglets
Motorcycle News ·

CFMOTO has taken the covers off its first V4 superbike at EICMA in Milan. The V4SR-RR uses an in-house 997cc V4 that CFMOTO says makes more than 210 hp, and it is the first production-intent bike from the brand with active aerodynamics. A carbon-heavy Carbon Black showbike was revealed alongside it.
Engine and performance
The engine is a 997cc 90-degree V4 developed by CFMOTO, with titanium connecting rods and a counter-rotating crankshaft, and MCNews reports it revs to 15,000 rpm. CFMOTO’s claims:
- Power: more than 210 hp
- Top speed: more than 315 km/h
- Weight: approximately 180 kg dry
Torque, kerb weight and final homologated figures have not yet been announced.
Active aero
The winglets are independently controlled and change their effect depending on what the bike is doing. CFMOTO claims 20 per cent more front-wheel downforce than fixed winglets just before braking from 160 km/h, and at higher speeds the wings can work asymmetrically to help with direction changes.
Chassis and components
The V4SR-RR uses fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes (Hypure calipers, according to MCNews), Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres and a titanium Akrapovič exhaust. MCNews also reports a patented adjustable frame reinforcement, although CFMOTO has not detailed how it works.
Carbon Black showbike
The V4SR-RR Carbon Black is a track-focused show special with extensive carbon-fibre bodywork, MotoGP-inspired aero, an all-black finish, an Akrapovič titanium racing exhaust and GILLES Tooling parts. CFMOTO describes it as not road-homologated, so treat it as a showpiece rather than a model you can order.
Australia and New Zealand
CFMOTO sells strongly in both countries on the back of bikes like the 450MT, but V4SR-RR pricing, arrival dates and final local specifications have not yet been announced for Australia or New Zealand. Even CFMOTO’s UK arm lists prices and arrival dates as to be confirmed. No WorldSBK programme for the V4 was announced at EICMA.
