EICMA 2026 preview: the new bikes to watch, and which could reach Australia and NZ
Upcoming Bikes ·

The world’s biggest motorcycle show opens in Milan this week. EICMA 2026 runs from 3 to 8 November at Fiera Milano Rho: 3 and 4 November are for press and trade, and the public gets in from 5 to 8 November. Most of next year’s new bikes will be shown there, and plenty of them will end up in Australian and New Zealand showrooms.
Some bikes have already been revealed online and will simply make their first public appearance in Milan. Others are still hidden behind teasers. Here’s what we know so far, and our early read on which ones matter for riders in Australia and New Zealand. Specs and European prices come from the manufacturers’ announcements; local prices and timing are not confirmed unless we say so.
The big one: Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan has confirmed the production Himalayan 750 will have its world premiere at EICMA. A prototype was shown at last year’s show, and the bike has since been seen testing and at Royal Enfield’s Himalayan event in Ladakh. Royal Enfield hasn’t released specs yet. Indian reports expect a new 750cc parallel twin, but power figures are still speculation.
Our take: this is the reveal we’re most interested in for Australia and New Zealand. The Himalayan 450 has sold well here, and a bigger, twin-cylinder version could take on mid-size adventure bikes at a lower price. If you’re shopping for a Himalayan 450 right now, it’s worth waiting a week to see what Royal Enfield announces. Read our Himalayan 450 vs CFMOTO 450MT comparison for where the current bike sits.
Already revealed, on show for the first time
BMW F 450 RR
BMW revealed the F 450 RR online on 15 October. It’s the sports version of the new 420cc parallel twin from the F 450 R and F 450 GS: 35 kW (48 hp) at 8750 rpm, 43 Nm and 177 kg ready to ride. It starts from €7,250 in Germany and reaches European dealers in June 2027.
Our take: the power figure is inside Australia’s LAMS power-to-weight limit, so a learner-legal version looks likely, as it is for the F 450 R. Local pricing and timing are not confirmed.
Kawasaki Versys 900 and Versys 900 SE
Revealed on 13 October, the new Versys 900 makes 89.6 kW (122 hp) at 9500 rpm and 97.3 Nm, and adds radar-based rider aids. It starts from €13,270 (SE: €14,170) in Europe, with a launch in April 2027. Kawasaki has already confirmed it for New Zealand by mid-2027 (read our story).
Kawasaki KLE500 SE Smartride and KX327
Kawasaki’s stand will also show a KLE500 SE with a mechanical centrifugal clutch, so you don’t need to use the clutch lever when pulling away or stopping. It’s €7,795 in Europe and reaches dealers there in December 2026. Also on show are the KX327 and KX327X, fuel-injected two-stroke off-road bikes. The KLE500 is already sold here; see our KLE650 story for the bigger model coming above it.
Triumph Tiger 1200 and Street Triple 798
The 2027 Tiger 1200 was revealed on 27 October with 116.2 kW (158 hp), 130 Nm and radar. It’s on show in Milan before arriving in March 2027 (full details here). Triumph is also displaying a Street Triple 798, but its specs won’t be published until 17 November.
Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute
An RS 660 special named after Phillip Island gets its European premiere: 77 kW (105 hp) and 70 Nm. Price and production numbers have not been announced. With MotoGP leaving Phillip Island, the name alone should make it a talking point here.
Teased: the reveals we’re waiting for
- Honda: a teaser says only “A new adventure is coming”. Reports point to a middleweight adventure bike, possibly a new Transalp or Africa Twin, but Honda hasn’t said. The reveal is expected on 2 November, the day before the show.
- Yamaha: an unnamed new model is due to be revealed by livestream on 2 November under the line “Redefine the Standard”. The teaser’s engine sound hints at a three-cylinder, and the Ténéré 900 is the most talked-about guess. Nothing is confirmed.
- KTM and Husqvarna: a joint press conference on 3 November promises off-road news and “a surprise”. No models have been named.
- CFMOTO: two unveilings on 3 November: a fully faired sportsbike and a scooter design. CFMOTO hasn’t named the sportsbike. Given how strongly CFMOTO sells in New Zealand and Australia, anything new from them is likely to reach us.
- Indian: its first 2027 models are due on 3 November, with no models named yet.
Also in Milan
Benda will present the European version of its Dark Flag 950 V4 cruiser (80 kW / 108.8 hp, 690mm seat). Benda has recently opened its first Australian store in Melbourne. LiveWire is bringing several electric models, and India’s Ultraviolette will show its X-47 Venom electric bike.
What to watch for
For Australian and New Zealand riders, the bikes most likely to matter are the Himalayan 750, the BMW F 450 RR, the Versys 900 and whatever Honda and CFMOTO reveal. We’ll follow up after the show with what’s confirmed for our markets, local prices where they’re announced, and which of the new bikes are LAMS-approved.
Details are from manufacturer announcements made before EICMA opens and may change at the show. European prices are given for reference only and don’t convert directly to Australian or New Zealand ride-away prices.
